Background of the Golden Lion

The Golden Lion belongs to one of the most powerful families within the seven kingdoms. While his twin sister was married to the king, the Golden Lion served as a prominent knight within the king’s personal guard. He was considered to be the best fighter throughout all the kingdoms and was nearly unbeatable when he wielded his sword. The Golden Lion was eventually captured by northern forces and held for ransom. While initially an arrogant and cruel man, he became a more honourable warrior after losing his hand in his travels with the Noble Knight.

The Golden Lion wielded a longsword, an elegant weapon made of steel. It has a lion-shaped pommel to reflect his family’s sigil, and is covered with gold detail to reflect his family’s colours. He famously used this longsword in combat with the Warden, allowing him to fight with speed and accuracy against the Warden and his large broadsword.
