Commander Valen is a pivotal figure in DOOM Eternal, known as the Betrayer, a former leader of the Night Sentinels who was once a devoted warrior against Hell’s forces. Haunted by the loss of his son, he was deceived by the Maykrs and inadvertently contributed to the rise of the Dark Lord. Wracked with guilt, Valen exiled himself and wielded the Hellbreaker, a mighty Sentinel Hammer designed for devastating close-quarters combat. The Hellbreaker channels immense energy with each strike, capable of shattering demonic armor and obliterating Hell’s minions in a single blow. Though Valen no longer fights, his hammer symbolizes the might of the Night Sentinels and their unyielding battle against the demonic horde.
