Background of Hoshimi Miyabi's Tailless from Zenless Zone Zero

In the post-apocalyptic urban fantasy of Zenless Zone Zero, Hoshimi Miyabi stands as the formidable Chief of Hollow Special Operations Section 6 (H.S.O.S. 6). As the disciplined heir to New Eridu's most prestigious martial arts family, she wields the Ethereal-Slaying Katana: "Tailless." This premier Agent Weapon is an heirloom katana and a cursed blade passed down from generation to generation. Originally forged from special Etheric matter using secret techniques by the first generation head of the Hoshimi Family, Tailless is recognized as one of the legendary Void Hunter Weapons, holding immense and surging Etheric energy.

Within the treacherous Hollows, the blade serves as the perfect extension of Miyabi’s lethal martial prowess. Tailless possesses the unique ability to create Foxfire—a specialized form of Etheric energy—and weave complex illusions out of it to outmaneuver Ethereal threats. However, its true, devastating potential remains bound. Under the effect of its sealing sheath, Tailless acts merely as a remarkably sharp blade wielded by Miyabi to execute her high-speed, frost-infused Ice Attribute strikes. Perhaps only when the seal is finally lifted will the full story and terrifying power behind this cursed blade be uncovered.
