The Scissor Blade Purple Half, featured in the anime Kill la Kill, is one half of the legendary Rending Scissors, created by Isshin Matoi to sever the Life Fibers that control humanity. Initially crimson during Isshin’s murder, the blade later takes on a striking purple hue while in the possession of Nui Harime, his killer and a key antagonist. With a circular handle and angular design, the Purple Half complements Ryūko’s Red Half, and it can transform into a scythe-like weapon for enhanced combat. Made from hardened Life Fibers, it is one of the few weapons capable of cutting through Goku Uniforms and Kamui garments. When Ryūko reclaims this blade in Episode 22, it reverts to its original red color, completing the Rending Scissors and unlocking their full power.
