Fire and Steel - Assassin's Wakizashi (Battle Ready)
This is part of our Fire and Steel line of mid-range collector’s swords. These swords are built to high standards and considered both high-quality and battle ready.
Shirasayas are minimalist Japanese blade mountings consisting of a plain scabbard (saya) and matching hilt (tsuka). Traditionally used for storage when a sword was not expected to see active use, the lack of a guard or handle wrapping made them unsuitable for direct combat—but their slim profile made them excellent for concealment and stealth.
The Fire and Steel Assassin’s Wakizashi is a modern interpretation of this style, built for stealth over sustained combat. It features a straight blade made from 1060 high carbon steel, housed in a lacquered wooden sheath for durability and a polished finish. The construction includes a mekugi peg, offering better structural integrity and aligning it more with functional sword designs than traditional storage mounts.
Compact and discreet, this wakizashi is ideal for collectors who appreciate a sleek, functional take on a historically stealth-oriented blade.
