Background of Kirito’s Sword
Kirigaya Kazuto (commonly known as "Kirito") is one of the players that was accepted into the Sword Art Online closed-beta game, in the anime and light novel series Sword Art Online. As a solo player who wears black clothing, he was known as the "Black Swordsman," who defeated the final boss of Sword Art Online and freed the players that were trapped in the game.
Kirito wields his ALfheim Online Longsword, forged with a rare metal from Jötunheimr, the most difficult dungeon in the game ALfheim Online. It replaced Kirito's unnamed black great sword. Kirito's black sword was named Unity Vox (ユナイティウォークス) in Lost Song; however, the author has stated that he has not yet decided on a canon name himself. With a similar appearance to the Elucidator and Dark Repulser, Kirito's ALfheim Online Longsword is a double-edged black sword with two sharp points on each side of the guard.
