Background of Cloud Strife

Cloud Strife is the main protagonist of the video game Final Fantasy VII and its remake. A former SOLDIER working for the Shinra corporation, he was gifted his iconic Buster Sword by his friend and mentor, Zack, upon his death. Upon defecting from Shinra, he became a mercenary and worked alongside teams from the resistance group Avalanche, an enemy of the Shinra organization. Although he seems to have an aloof and nonchalant attitude, Cloud is incredibly loyal to his friends and has many heroic qualities. He is known for his excellent swordsmanship and superhuman abilities.

During Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Cloud leaves his original Buster Sword at the grave of his former mentor, and instead wields the Fusion Sword. A large broadsword composed of 6 individual swords, it can be combined together into one large sword resembling the original Buster Sword. Cloud regularly disassembles the Fusion Sword to use the individual swords separately, or in different combinations with one another.

For a bunch of swords put together it's actually very nice. Isn't as tall as the movie, however it is good construction and freaking awesome to hold. It is quite heavy, and swinging it around it tough. Recommend having it for display rather than practical use. Would buy again though!

Great first piece for my collection

I had been looking for a long time for something that might hold up to the Advent Children masterpiece. This did not disappoint, and it was well worth the wait to get it. The sword arrived well-packaged (save for a couple breaks on the box surface), and I experienced the full heft of it as I unpacked it. The blades themselves are set together with screws so it doesn't simply fall apart as you hold it, which makes displaying it that much easier. I hope to purchase more pieces from F&S going forward if all their work is of such quality.
