Fire and Steel - Bamboo Straight Blade Shirasaya

This is a part of our Fire and Steel line of beginners collectors swords. Our beginners swords are designed to be more blunt than our mid-range and high end swords.

Shirasayas are plain Japanese blades consisting of a scabbard (saya) and and hilt (tsuka). Traditionally, these evolved from methods of storage when a sword was not expected to see use for some time. The lack of guard and handle wrappings prevented its use in actual battle. As a concealable stealth weapon though, these are potentially formidable.
