Fire and Steel - Bamboo Straight Blade Shirasaya
This is part of our Fire and Steel line of beginner collector’s swords. Our beginner swords are designed with a more blunt edge than our mid-range and high-end models, making them suitable for safe handling, display, or entry-level training.
Shirasayas are minimalist Japanese sword mountings that feature a plain wooden scabbard (saya) and hilt (tsuka), traditionally used for storing blades when not in combat. The absence of a guard or wrappings made them unsuitable for battle, but their clean, concealable design made them effective stealth weapons.
The Fire and Steel Bamboo Straight Blade Shirasaya is a stylized take on this traditional form. Measuring 100 cm, it features a straight 1035 carbon steel blade, housed in a sleek black lacquered sheath designed to resemble a stalk of bamboo. The scabbard includes raised bump detailing and engraved bamboo patterns, enhancing its discreet, natural appearance.
Ideal for collectors who appreciate subtle, themed weapons with a stealthy aesthetic.
