Fire and Steel - Assassin's Shirasaya (Battle Ready)
This is part of our Fire and Steel line of mid-range collector’s swords, built to high standards with battle-ready functionality.
Traditionally, shirasayas were minimalist wooden mountings used to store Japanese blades when not in combat. Lacking a guard or wrappings, they were never intended for battlefield use—but their clean, discreet design made them ideal for concealment and stealth.
The Fire and Steel Assassin’s Shirasaya is a modern interpretation of this classic form. It features a 104 cm 1045 high carbon steel blade, housed in a lacquered wooden scabbard for enhanced durability and visual appeal. Unlike traditional storage mounts, this shirasaya includes mekugi pegs, securing the blade in place for added safety and structural integrity—blending the traditional aesthetic with practical construction.
Designed more for stealth than prolonged combat, this piece is perfect for collectors seeking a sleek, concealable blade with a functional edge.
