Kenshin's "Sakabato" Reverse Blade Sword (Battle Ready)
Background of Kenshin
Himura Kenshin is the Meiji Revolution's legendary hitokiri (an expert swordsman), who assassinated others in the anime and manga series Rurouni Kenshin. To honor the death of his wife, Kenshin abandons his position as a hitokiri and vows to protect people in other ways that don’t involve bloodshed. To mark the beginning of his new moral code, Kenshin receives his signature weapon, the Sakabato (Reverse Blade Sword).
The Sakabato is a finely crafted sword with a forged blade on the back side of the katana (mune), and an intricately wrapped handle. This sword symbolizes Kenshin's fight to keep his country at peace and promise to never kill again.
